Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do we book Cinematical?
The quickest way is for us to e-mail you our booking forms in PDF format which then need to be printed/completed, and sent back to us with the 15% booking fee. If this is not convenient, we will post the forms out to you. You can also make payment using a debit or credit card on-line using Google Checkout. See here for details: http://www.cinematicaluk.com/booking_terms.htm If you have an on-line banking facility, payment can also be made (free) by BACS. The date is only secured when we receive the completed forms back.
2. Do we meet you to discuss details?
We always try to meet our customers before their wedding day to discuss details. We will travel up to 25 miles outside of our local area (Ashford in Kent) to meet. We will contact you around 3 weeks before your wedding date to arrange a meeting at a time and place convenient to you. If distances are further, we discuss all details by phone and e-mail with you. 3 weeks before the wedding a questionnaire is sent to you to complete. Once completed we use this as our guide both for on the day, and for the edit.
3. Do you charge extra for travel/accomodation?
We include a total of 150 miles of travel with all our packages. Any travel over the included mileage will be charged at 40p per mile. Accommodation will be required if travelling further than 100 miles one way (200 miles round trip) from Ashford, Kent. For very long distances two nights accommodation may be required.
A surcharge of £100 is payable for all weddings taking place in Central London.
4. How long are the bridal/groom preparations?
Our camera operator will arrive two hours before the Bride/Groom leaves for the wedding.
5. How long will our wedding film last?
We do not have a 'target' time for our wedding films to last. The two things that most dictate the length of the film are the ceremony and the speeches. These can vary greatly. If either of these are unduly lengthy, we will consult with you before 'editing down' either.
6. Do we have to wear a radio mic?
We only ask the Groom to wear a tiny lapel mic. This will also pick up the Bride's vows clearly too. Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control, (i.e. permission from the venue) we may not be able to use radio mics.
7. Can we choose our own music for the wedding film?
Absolutely. We ask you to provide at least 10 music choices to give us some freedom in the edit. If there are any tracks that you particularly want us to use, please mention it. Alternatively, you can either leave all of the music to us, or choose some, and we will choose the rest. The choice is yours.
8. When will we receive the completed film?
Generally, from 6 to 8 weeks after receiving your music choices and any photographs etc. We do not start the edit until all of the material needed is received.
